DIE KAMMER

Die Kammer wurde im Dezember 2011 gegründet. Seitdem arbeitet das Duo in wechselnden Besetzungen mit unterschiedlichsten Musikern zusammen. In den ersten Jahren lag der Fokus auf der rein akustischen Umsetzung. Mit dem Abschluss der Season IV, dem 10-jährigen Bestehen des Projektes und auch der Zäsur durch die Pandemie änderte sich dieser Fokus hin zu elektronischer Unterstützung in Form von Loops und Beats und der damit verbundenen Erweiterung des Kammer-Sounds. Die Kammer war stets in verschiedenen Formationen live aktiv. Eigene Einzelshows und Club-Tourneen, Support-Tournee mit Schandmaul, Support-Tournee mit Letzte Instanz, sowie zahl- reiche namhafte Festivals wie das M‘era Luna, das Rudolstadt-Festival, Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig, Nocturnal Nights, und viele mehr.

Von Anfang an legten die beiden Künstler ihr Augenmerk auch auf eine ansprechende visuelle Umset- zung ihrer Songs. So zum Beispiel die Videos zur Debüt-Single „The Orphanage“ (> 93.000 Views auf YouTube), „Sinister Sister“ (>60.000 Views auf YouTube) und zum Depeche-Mode-Cover „Home“ (laut The Orchard über 1,7 Mio. Views weltweit). Auch die zum 10-jährigen Jubiläum veröffentlichte Single „Ago“ hat bereits über 13.000 Views und unterstreicht damit erfolgreich die neue klangliche Aus- richtung der Kammer, die nun fortgesetzt wird.

DIE KAMMER

Die Kammer was founded in December 2011. Since then, the duo has worked in various lineups with a wide range of musicians. In the early years, the focus was on purely acoustic arrangements. With the conclusion of Season IV, the project’s 10th anniversary, and the hiatus caused by the pandemic, this focus shifted towards electronic support in the form of loops and beats—marking a sonic expansion of the band’s signature sound.

The band has always been active on stage in a variety of formations—performing headlining club shows, full tours, a support tour with Schandmaul, a support tour with Letzte Instanz, as well as appearances at numerous renowned festivals such as M’era Luna, Rudolstadt Festival, Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig, Nocturnal Culture Night, and many more.

From the very beginning, the duo also placed great importance on strong visual storytelling in their music. Notable examples include the videos for their debut single “The Orphanage” (>93,000 views on YouTube), “Sinister Sister” (>60,000 views on YouTube), and their Depeche Mode cover “Home” (over 1.7 million views worldwide according to The Orchard). The single “Ago,” released for their 10th anniversary, has already surpassed 13,000 views, successfully highlighting the band’s new sonic direction—which is now being carried forward.
